"Home is where the hatred is, home is filled with pain, and it might not be such a bad idea if I never, never went home again..."

"A junkie walking through the twilight
I'm on my way home
I left three days ago, but no one seems to know I'm gone
Home is where the hatred is
Home is filled with pain, and it,
Might not be such a bad idea if I never, never went home again

Stand as far away from me as you can, and ask me why
Hang on to your rosary beads
Close your eyes, to watch me die
You keep saying, kick it, quit it, kick it, quit it
God - but did you ever try?
To turn your sick soul inside out
So that the world, so that the world
Can watch you die

Home is where I live inside, my white powder dreams
Home was once an empty vacuum,
That's filled now with my silent screams
Home is where the needle marks
Try to heal my broken heart
And it might not be such a bad idea, if I never,
If I never went home again
Home again
Home again
Home again
Kick it, quit it
Kick it, quit it
Kick it, quit it
Kick it, can't go home again..."

Eminent Domain Ruling Emboldens City Governments

PISCATAWAY — Facing eviction from their 75-acre Pisctaway farm at 3 p.m. Monday, the Halper family plans to hold rallies protesting the eminent-domain ruling that will force them from their home and business.

"Some people will arrive Saturday, and we plan to have rallies on Sunday and Monday afternoon," said Clara Halper, wife of Larry Halper, whose family owns the farm on the corner of South Washington Avenue and Metlars Lane. "There'll be people who oppose eminent-domain laws. . . . We'll have some people speak."

As of Wednesday, the rallies had not yet been scheduled.

The Halper family and Piscataway Township have been locked in a bitter dispute since the fall of 1999 over the farm that the township has seized under eminent-domain laws for the purpose of open-space preservation.

The New Jersey Supreme Court has recently ruled that the Halper farm action qualifies as "public purpose" and open space under eminent domain.

The Halper family contends that the seizure process has been rife with conflicts of interest involving attorneys, judges and township officials.

Freestar Media | July 6, 2006

On Monday, July 10, 2006 at 3 pm armed agents of the government of Piscataway, New Jersey will arrive on the property of Clara & Larry Halper. The police will remove the Halpers and their four children from their home and farm. This land has been in the Halper family for over 80 years. Don't be surprised if a few years later we see shopping malls or condos built on the Halper's property. There is nothing to prevent the Piscataway government from changing their use of the land after they grab it.

We plan to have a camp-out starting Saturday and lasting until the eviction. We need YOU to be there. If ever there was a time to take a stand, it is NOW. If ever there was a place to take a stand, it is HERE. Take your excuse for not being there and throw it in the trash. When Paul Revere signaled the alarm the early Americans didn't respond with excuses they responded with action. People who believed in freedom dropped what they were doing and showed up to confront their oppressors.

We need YOU to drive your RV, pitch your tents, and take a stand against eminent domain abuse by camping out at the Halper Farm until the moment of eviction. We hope it will be like Valley Forge without the frostbite and Woodstock without the mud.

Date: Starts Saturday, July 8, 2006, but most people will show up on Sunday. The eviction is Monday, July 10 at 3pm

Location: Farm of Larry and Clara Halper
4 Bella Drive, Piscataway, New Jersey 08854
(photo: Clara, Larry and their four children)

Activities: There will be traditional camping activities, plus on Sunday afternoon several musical groups will perform (rock, classical and whoever else shows up). If you want to attend you do not need to make a reservation, just show up. There is plenty of space and the Halpers welcome you to camp on their land. However, we'd like to keep a count so we encourage you to RSVP here. Check back to this website before you drive to get up-to-the-minute information.

On Monday July 10 at 3:00 the government of Piscataway, New Jersey will evict a family from their farm using eminent domain. While the U.S. Constitution should have protected their home now it is up to YOU. Some people plan to form "Human Constitution" around their home when the police arrive to take it.

The Halper family has farmed their land for over 80 years. Now the government of Piscataway, New Jersey will take their 75 acres using eminent domain. The government claims it wants to take the farm to preserve "open spaces." It's a farm. It is already an open space. Don't be surprised if shopping malls and condos are built on the Halper land in a few years. There is nothing to prevent the government from changing their use of the land after they grab it.

Furthermore, the family has turned down offers to develop it and even tried to sell the development rights to the State of New Jersey so they can be left alone. A representative of a Democratic campaign committee demanded a "contribution" in exchange for giving the Halpers a good price for the development rights. This request for a bribe was caught on tape by the FBI and lead to the resignation of Governor McGreevy.

With the "open space" argument shown to be absurd, the government next accused the farm of being a "toxic waste dump" althought they have failed to provide any proof of this. The only chemicals found were pesticides against mosquitos that the city itself was caught spraying on the farm in the middle of the winter.

The government of Piscataway has taken over the property of many other people in the area using all sorts of rationale (senior housing, open spaces, etc.) most of it has been sold to developers for high-density housing. Many people believe the Halper farm will also be sold by the city to well-connected developers.

The government of Piscataway, New Jersey has been harassing the Halper family for years by sending over police officers on bogus code infractions, driving by and shining bright lights in their windows and even arresting Larry Halper on superficial charges. When Freestar went to a public fair to interview Mayor Brian Wahler (and offer an award from Vladimir Lenin) we were surrounded by police and chased away. A government like this should not exist in America.

You can help draw a line in the sand in the battle over eminent domain. Take a stand at the Halper Farm. Don't assume others will preserve your freedom for you. We need YOU to join us. In addition to helping stop eminent domain abuse you can help the Halpers by purchasing a ornamental pear tree or shrub . They have spent a fortune on legal bills to try to fend off this land-grab by the government. Buy a plant, don't let the government steal it.

1. Get the media involved: contact talk radio hosts and encourage them to do a live on-site broadcast, to get people to show up for the Halper Camp-Out, and to generally promote it.
2. Contact groups that might get their members out: RV owners, camping groups, property rights groups, other victims of eminent domain.
3. Contact entertainers: musicians, comedians, performers, Civil or Revolutionary War re-inactors.
4. Help us rent a flat bed truck for a stage, a PA system for the entertainers, and port-a-potties.
Help us buy food and drink for the campers, make banners, and cover other costs.
5. Answer phone calls and e-mail from people that have questions about the event.

"Uh, it's 1972, and election year, and once again black people are running... for their lives. Reasons are, things like The King Alfred Plan, the concentration camps that were used during the Second World War to house Oriental Americans are now being refurbished to, um, confine their new residents, i.e. Black People. Brothers and sisters there is a place for you in America, this is The King Alfred Plan..."

Brothers and sisters,
There is a place for you in America,
Places are being prepared and readied,
Night-and-day, night-and-day,
The White Boy's Plan is being readied,
Night-and-day, night-and-day,
Listen close to what rap's say,
About traps like Allenwood, PA,
Already legal in D.C.,
To preventively detain, you and me,
How long you think it's going to be?
Before even our dreams ain't free?

You think I exaggerate?
Check out Allenwood, PA!
Night-and-day, night-and-day,
The White Boy's scheming, night-and-day,

The Jews and Hitler come to mind,
The thought of slavery far behind,
But White paranoia's here to stay,
The White Boy's scheming night-and-day,

What you think about The King Alfred Plan?

You ain't heard?

Where you been man!

If I may paraphrase, the government notice reads:

"Should there at any time become a clear and present danger initiated by any radical elements threatening the operation of the government of the United States of America, members of this movement shall be transported to detention centers until such time as that threat has been eliminated - Code: King Alfred"

I bet you say!
There ain't no Allenwood, PA,
And people ain't waitin',
Night-and-day, night-and-day, night-and-day,

There will be,
Without the Motown sound and Thunderbird,
Wallowing in the echoes of Malcolm's words,
There must be Black Unity!
There must be Black Unity!

For in the end,

Unity will be thrust upon us,

And we upon it, and each other,

Locked in cages,
Pens, hemmed-in,
Arms outstretched for just a crust of bread,
Watermelon mirages,
An oasis that does not exist,
Conjured up by the bubbling stench,
Unwashed bodies and unsanitary quarters,
Concrete and barbed wire,
Babies screaming,
Stumbling around in a mental circle,
Because you never cared enough to be Black,

In the end unity will be thrust upon us,
Blanketed, stifled, a salty taste in your mouth,
From blood oozing from cracks in woolly heads,
Red pools becoming thicker than syrup slow down your face,
Birds matted by the lifeforce, sprung loose from wells,
Wells deep by the enforcers of mock justice,
Of the Red, White and Blue,

In the end unity will be thrust upon us,

Let us unite because of love and not hate,

Let us unite on our own and not because of barbed wire death,

You dare not ignore the things I say,

Whitey's waiting, night-and-day,

Night-and-day, night-and-day, night-and-day..."

- Gil Scott-Heron, "The King Alfred Plan" Concentration Camp Archive

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst; the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!"

City mass evacuation drawn up

This Is London

Plans have been drawn up by the Government for a mass evacuation of London in the event of a terrorist attack, it has been reported. Leaked documents detail how residents could be herded into "rest and reception areas" in the Home Counties.

London could be evacuated if attacked

The Blair Government reportedly has secret plans to evacuate London and other big cities in the event of a terrorist strike or threat. They include herding Londoners into "rest and reception areas" in the country, and raise the possibility of rehousing the displaced for the medium or long term if an attack renders an area uninhabitable.

Conduct Unbecoming

By Cindy Sheehan

t r u t h o u t | Perspective

Friday 07 July 2006

I don't know Lt. Ehren Wataba, but I know his mother, and spoke at length with her back in May in Hawaii about how Ehren morally did not want to go to Iraq and how he was being harassed by other members of his unit for his beliefs that the war in Iraq was wrong and that he didn't want to kill innocent people for BushCo.

Ehren tried everything he could within regulations and legal means to be excused from going over to the war crime in Iraq and becoming a war criminal himself; nothing worked, so he refused to be deployed with his unit.

Today he was charged with missing movement, contempt towards officials and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. Conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman! Are they kidding me? Are they kidding the world and hiding behind an ancient code while they are pretending that anything about Iraq or our government is "gentlemanly?"

How about looking at the Commander in Chief of our armed forces, George Bush, for one? George Bush is a dry drunk who runs our country like he ran all of his failed businesses - with an attitude that if he screws up, his daddy, or his daddy's friends, will bail him out. He has already said that the problem of Iraq will be solved by "future presidents" which absolves and excuses him from cleaning up the murderous mess that he has made.

George Bush and his daddy used their contacts to get him a spot in the Texas Air National Guard during Vietnam. When he was transferred to the Alabama Air National Guard he never showed up to complete his military commitment to the United States. Now I have no problem with Georgie, or "I had other priorities" five-deferment Dicky, getting out of going to the war crime in Vietnam, but to grow up and strong arm your way into the CIA to fix intelligence and to deceive a country and play on its fears to lead us into another war crime is inexcusable and cowardly.

To also underscore what a "gentleman" our president is, when he was asked about meeting with me when we were camped outside of his ranch, within spittin' distance, he said that he "had to get on with his life." How nice that George is able to get on with his life! Wish I had that option. It's so nice that George can "get on with his life" when he has sent so many off to lose theirs and steal the lives of others. George can be very flippant about it because he has no flesh and blood in harm's way and he never attends any funerals or allows any pictures of flag-draped coffins to offend his sensibilities so he can get on with his life bike riding or destroying the world.

Donald "you go to war with the army you have, not the army you want" and he of the famous machine-signed condolence letters Rumsfeld is Lt. Wataba's civilian leader in the Pentagon. Donny has constantly and consistently ignored advice for more troops from generals in the field and we can be sure that when he makes his unannounced visits to Iraq he travels in heavily armored vehicles and is far better protected than our troops, even when he moves about DC. I have an idea! How about not sending our young people off to fight, die and kill innocents in an illegal and immoral war whether they are prepared or not!

We have already mentioned "5 Deferment Dick" and his Doctrine of the Insurgency Last Throes - what more can be said of the ungentlemanly conduct of our nation's shadow president? How about when he told Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont to go and "f**k" himself on the Senate floor? How about mistaking your best friend for a dove and shooting him in the face while allegedly intoxicated and waiting until 24 hours to report it so there would be no evidence of the intoxication? How about the coincidence of the company that he used to run being awarded billions of no-bid contracts in the Iraq war crime? Just his ever present sneer with the raising of one eyebrow as if he is incessantly smelling something awful is distinctly ungentlemanly!

There are so many examples of Ungentlemanly Conduct in BushCo that the examples could fill pages and pages. How about allowing the people of New Orleans to hang off their houses while George plays guitar and eats birthday cake with John McCain? How about when Press Secretary Tony Snow was asked about the unnecessary and tragic number of 2500 when that casualty number was reached and he said, "It is only a number." How about all of the administration lying about mushroom clouds and terrorism in Iraq with colored pie charts and pointing sticks? The list goes on. The list goes on.

Everyone, male or female, in the Bush Regime should be charged with Ungentlemanly Conduct which is Article 133 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Lt. Wataba should be set free and allowed to carry on with his life because it is also in the UCMJ that a soldier has a duty to disobey an unlawful order, and from our own Constitution to international law, everything about Iraq is unlawful (UCMJ ART. 90-920).

Lt. Wataba also took an oath to defend our country from all enemies "foreign and domestic" and one doesn't have to cross any international borders to find the enemies of freedom and of life that we all have to be defended from.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Lt. Ehren Wataba for doing your duty.

Valley of the Wolves Iraq (Turkish: Kurtlar Vadisi Irak) is a popular and controversial 2006 Turkish film based on a television series of the same name that has been a hit in Turkey for three seasons.

Filmed with a budget of $10 million, Valley of the Wolves is the most expensive film ever made in Turkey.

The film has proved controversial due to its portrayal of some US military personnel and Jewish characters as being responsible for a number of real and fictional atrocities and war crimes:

* A scene depicts the Abu Ghraib Prison abuses, where prisoners were mistreated by US forces.
* In one sequence, the American commander Sam William Marshall (the film's villain) raids an Arab wedding and massacres a number of civilians, which might allude to a May 19, 2004 incident in Mukaradeeb.
* When detainees being transported in a sealed container are in danger of suffocating, an American soldier fires upon the container "in order to make holes for the air to get in", but many detainees are injured or die. A similar event is reported to have occurred in Afghanistan after the battle for Mazar-i Sharif on November 9, 2001, with Taliban soldiers in the container and soldiers of the Afghan Northern Alliance as their guardians, as described in the documentary film Massacre at Mazar by Irish filmmaker Jamie Doran.

* The film also features a Jewish-American doctor (Gary Busey) who explants organs of Iraqi prisoners to sell to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv for transplantation. This character's inclusion has led to accusations of Anti-Semitism (see Blood libel against Jews) since it relates to a Nazi physician Dr. Mengele.

Mukaradeeb is a small village in Iraq near the Syrian border which has been the site of an alleged war crime by the United States of America Armed Forces. According to reports parts or all of the village were attacked by an American AC-130 Gunship on May 19, 2004, killing 42 men, women and children. The casualties, 11 of whom were women and 14 were children, were confirmed by Hamdi Noor al-Alusi, the manager of the nearest hospital. Western journalists also viewed the bodies of the children before they were buried.

The previous day there had been a wedding party in the village. American military claimed that traditional celebratory gunfire was misinterpreted as an attack on American helicopters. However, this account is disputed since the attack commenced at 3:00 a.m. when most of the guests were asleep. Initially the US military also insisted no children were killed. The location of the village shown in a video is claimed to be incorrect, as the hills in the video background differ from the hills around Mukaradeeb.

One survivor, the 30 year old sister-in-law of the groom, Mrs. Shihab, stated that the American troops inspected the bodies, kicking them to check if they were alive. "I fell into the mud and an American soldier came and kicked me. I pretended to be dead so he wouldn't kill me. My youngest child was alive next to me."

At a press conference, Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt said “There was no evidence of a wedding: no decorations, no musical instruments found, no large quantities of food or leftover servings one would expect from a wedding celebration, no gifts. There was no wedding tent.” He produced photographs of rifles, machine guns, foreign passports, bedding and other items and claimed that the lack of identification on the dead demonstrated that “a high-risk meeting of high-level anti-coalition forces” had been underway.

The following day, however, Associated Press Television News (APTN) obtained a copy of a videotape of the wedding celebrations filmed by cameraman Yasser Shawat Abdullah who was hired to record the event. Among the dead were prominent Iraqi musicians Hussein al-Ali and his brother Mohaned al-Ali.

Follow up

The film Valley of the Wolves Iraq depicts the event as an intentional massacre.

Happy 7/7 Everybody!!! :P And now, it's time to present the history of recent history... TERRORSTORM.

It's about that time...

Y-ep, there ain't no half-steppin' allowed, no more: "Well... I think they did it, but really, I don't know for sure, and I'm just too smart to buy any of that conspiracy stuff either, I mean, who are those "people" who waste all their time trying to convince us to check out their crap? Anyway, it doesn't matter, so what if they did? So? Who cares? What can we do about it?"

I'm afraid that's not good enough.

I mean, if your house was full of termites, would you wait until a solution magically manifested before you act? Or would you ask others for a solution to your problem? Advice maybe, but choosing to either hear a perfect solution or settle for falsely self-satisfied inaction? Is that choice a sign of strength or weakness?

It's actually easier now then it will ever be to dissent and figure out what the dissenters are saying, at least for the near future - or whatever "near" is on a 4 billion year old planet, this fascist slide could last for years...

I mean, since this is the fastest changing era in human history, and an unprecedented time that's giving us bountiful technology, wealth and pleasure palaces that evolve at a rapid rate, aren't the negative changes that we know are happening but hardly see or get concerned about accelerating too?

The answer is:

If a tree falls in the forest and the media doesn't cover it, it doesn't make a sound.

It's time to give 'em up or get 'em going, because we aren't seeing how they're taking away our ability to improve our situation or defend ourselves against situations getting worse - for ALL of us. There are alternative media sources that make you "smarter" because they want to, and that reassure you of certain truths when we can all sense the lies coming from the other side.

I mean, the fact that ANY media organization takes what the Bush Regime says seriously anymore is proof positive that they're under an immense amount of control. It's like "criticism" is "bias", when in fact, if you're "criticized" for something at work, it probably means you f--ked up, not that your boss is necessarily "biased" against you. Well, I'm concerned about them lying to us and slashing layers off the middle-class to add to the poverty rolls, and their affinity for attacking countries just for the fun of it - and lying to us about that and everything else they say every time they say it too. And on and on and on and...

If this ain't the country you love, or at least like, then what's the point of scraping by in bitter paranoia "When It All Falls Down"?

I mean, the root of this is fake "terror", and that's just supremely evil.

Even those who disbelieve that 9/11 was fake have to admit you know the Bush Regime and assorted supporters (of varying yet surprisingly consistent degrees) in the corporate media are deliberately lying to us and scaring the hell out of us. That's just a fact. Their "opportunism" in using fear to train us to be scared all the time for the rest of our live is criminal enough in and of itself, and in any sane or rational world we would recognize that. But, they also "torture" other people, so "terrorizing" us doesn't seem so bad, I guess...

As a human citizen, if you've ever "terrorized" someone then you probably weren't very fond of them, and the very nature of the potential crime and it's impact means you could get yourself charged or incarcerated because of it.

Well that has to happen here.

If you're trying to Save The World, then it doesn't matter what you're working on when mechanisms are being put in place to change the rules of how you operate and choke off your resources. It doesn't matter what you say or do if you're not allowed to say it or do it, and everything needs to be sped up including coming to conclusions, solutions and alliances. It doesn't matter what you're up to, only what they're up to that will keep you from being up to what you used to do, and that means all of us are in trouble - together.

Books are being confiscated, people are being arrested over them and for wearing peace t-shirts, and for disseminating Alex Jones films like... TERRORSTORM.

It's awesome, it's twice as slick as many others and all shiny for the video game generation, and it's chock full of awesome facts like Operation Ajax from the website. They brag about their first and highly successful experiment with "false flag" faked terror operation and working with MI-5 to bring down the popular democratically elected leader of Iran in 1954 because he nationalized their oil fields and British Petroleum got upset: the details are incredible. Mainstream news has covered all of this in a lot of detail - in a bizarre way adding to it's credibility, but either way it's all been documented (again: it's on the CIA's website) and is worth looking into.

If you Google it or use Bitorrent you can grab a copy to stream or download ASAP, I also strongly recommend buying the DVD at or because there's nothing like hooking up your surround to be blown away completely.

The first pass is hella trippy, it's kind of like 'shrooms, and you may get into the mantra mode of: "whoa, whoa, whoa..." a la Keanu or Joey from Blossom.

The second pass'll be more like weeed, as you relax into an enjoyably lazy and hazy: "holy fuuuuuuuuck..."

Alex Jones' TerrorStorm Has Arrived!

by Alex Jones (reposted) Thursday, Jun. 29, 2006 at 10:26 PM

The long-awaited launch of Alex Jones' latest trend-setting documentary has arrived! TerrorStorm delivers a powerful sucker punch to the architects of global terrorism and how they stage false-flag events to achieve political and sociological ends.

Alex journeys from the depths of history from the Gulf of Tonkin, the USS Liberty and Gladio through to the Madrid and 7/7 London bombings and robustly catalogues the real story behind the government induced fable.

The Army has filed three charges against a lieutenant who refused to deploy to Iraq last month because he believes the war there is illegal. 1st Lieutenant Ehren Watada is the first commissioned officer to refuse deployment to Iraq. The charges against him include conduct unbecoming an officer, missing movement and contempt toward officials. He faces up to seven years in prison and a dishonorable discharge if convicted.

The contempt and conduct charges are based on public comments he made last month criticizing President Bush and the war. After military officials told Watada he was barred from speaking publicly about the case, he issued this video recording on June 7th explaining why he is refusing to fight.

I was just a -

(beat drops)

Bayou Boy,
Raised as soldier,
Had to get colder,
Dad was barely older,
Bolder than my brother,
So clever, joined the Guard,
Wasn't really that hard,
But it's that, or the yard,
Now a weekend's turned to weeks,
Now New Orlean's reeks,
Now normal people are lookin' like freaks,
Play hide and seek with the bodies,
Politicians, paparazzi,
Was a Superdome Nazi,
Tried to play it like it's Yahtzee,
They say we need peace,
But they fired the police,
Now soldiers say desist, and cease,
Or get deceased,
I'm on my knees,
Every night,
I wanna fight for what's right,
But I'm staring at my city,
Underwater every night,
And Blackwater rises,
When a crackhead in sight,
From over there,
He was puttin' up a fight,
I ain't shuttin' up tonite,
Gotta knuckle-up and fight,
But if I stick my neck out,
They'll pull a Tech out tonite,
I put my check out of sight,
Can't stand the Blood Money,
Can't stand to see my blood run from me,
A Bayou Boy, now a Bayou Man,

I need to take a stand,

And that's why I ran...

Prayer for New Orleans,
The fallen, the calling,
For the Chocolate City,
To start balling,

Prayer for the Devil's,
Dreamin' of the next date,
With fate, we relate,
Can we say police state?

Say a prayer for New Orleans...

I'm on the run now,,
Having fun now,,
Got a gun now,,
Let's see who run now...
But they' grabbin' guns,
Left, Right, and Center,
Homeowners and renters,
Store owners, dissenters,
My score only a slender,
Glock-9, all mine,
Feelin' fine,
If I gotta jack a bread line,
I gotta get mine,
Get food,
Get a home, get shelter,
The world's helter skelter,
The cards that were dealt were,
A four-leaf clover,
In a Range Rover,
Soldiers sayin': "Chill out man - the war is over!"
Hope I'm sober,
I'm on my own, and I'm scared,
'Cause Uncle Sam, really seems mad, when he stared,

I Dared to Dream, like Martin once said,

Now I'm scared to dream, or I'll wind up dead...

Prayer for New Orleans,
The fallen, the calling,
For the Chocolate City,
To start balling,

Prayer for the Devil's,
Dreamin' of the next date,
With fate, we relate,
Can we say police state?

Say a prayer for New Orleans...

Ah, found me a toolshed, a place to nap,
I guess this is where, I should check out my map,
Let's see, Checkpoint A, and Checkpoint B,
And I seem to recall, Checkpoints C and D,
Looks like nowhere's free, and I'm'a die in hell,
And New Orleans, is one big jail...

Prayer for New Orleans,
The fallen, the calling,
For the Chocolate City,
To start balling,

Prayer for the Devil's,
Dreamin' of the next date,
With fate, we relate,
Can we say police state?

Say a prayer for New Orleans...

Hate Groups Are Infiltrating the Military, Group Asserts

By John Kifner

The New York Times

Friday 07 July 2006

A decade after the Pentagon declared a zero-tolerance policy for racist hate groups, recruiting shortfalls caused by the war in Iraq have allowed "large numbers of neo-Nazis and skinhead extremists" to infiltrate the military, according to a watchdog organization.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks racist and right-wing militia groups, estimated that the numbers could run into the thousands, citing interviews with Defense Department investigators and reports and postings on racist Web sites and magazines.

"We've got Aryan Nations graffiti in Baghdad," the group quoted a Defense Department investigator as saying in a report to be posted today on its Web site, "That's a problem."

A Defense Department spokeswoman said officials there could not comment on the report because they had not yet seen it.

The center called on Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to appoint a task force to study the problem, declare a new zero tolerance policy and strictly enforce it.

The report said that neo-Nazi groups like the National Alliance, whose founder, William Pierce, wrote "The Turner Diaries," the novel that was the inspiration and blueprint for Timothy J. McVeigh's bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building, sought to enroll followers in the Army to get training for a race war.

The groups are being abetted, the report said, by pressure on recruiters, particularly for the Army, to meet quotas that are more difficult to reach because of the growing unpopularity of the war in Iraq.

The report quotes Scott Barfield, a Defense Department investigator, saying, "Recruiters are knowingly allowing neo-Nazis and white supremacists to join the armed forces, and commanders don't remove them from the military even after we positively identify them as extremists or gang members."

Mr. Barfield said Army recruiters struggled last year to meet goals. "They don't want to make a big deal again about neo-Nazis in the military," he said, "because then parents who are already worried about their kids signing up and dying in Iraq are going to be even more reluctant about their kids enlisting if they feel they'll be exposed to gangs and white supremacists."

The 1996 crackdown on extremists came after revelations that Mr. McVeigh had espoused far-right ideas when he was in the Army and recruited two fellow soldiers to aid his bomb plot. Those revelations were followed by a furor that developed when three white paratroopers were convicted of the random slaying of a black couple in order to win tattoos and 19 others were discharged for participating in neo-Nazi activities.

The defense secretary at the time, William Perry, said the rules were meant to leave no room for racist and extremist activities within the military. But the report said Mr. Barfield, who is based at Fort Lewis, Wash., had said that he had provided evidence on 320 extremists there in the past year, but that only two had been discharged. He also said there was an online network of neo-Nazis.

"They're communicating with each other about weapons, about recruiting, about keeping their identities secret, about organizing within the military," he said. "Several of these individuals have since been deployed to combat missions in Iraq."

The report cited accounts by neo-Nazis of their infiltration of the military, including a discussion on the white supremacist Web site Stormfront. "There are others among you in the forces," one participant wrote. "You are never alone."

An article in the National Alliance magazine Resistance urged skinheads to join the Army and insist on being assigned to light infantry units.

The Southern Poverty Law Center identified the author as Steven Barry, who it said was a former Special Forces officer who was the alliance's "military unit coordinator."

"Light infantry is your branch of choice because the coming race war and the ethnic cleansing to follow will be very much an infantryman's war," he wrote. "It will be house-to-house, neighborhood-by-neighborhood until your town or city is cleared and the alien races are driven into the countryside where they can be hunted down and 'cleansed.' "

He concluded: "As a professional soldier, my goal is to fill the ranks of the United States Army with skinheads. As street brawlers, you will be useless in the coming race war. As trained infantrymen, you will join the ranks of the Aryan warrior brotherhood."

I see Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!
I mean, how did you buy?
The Big Scare?
When most of the Middle-East?
Wants to send their kids here?
For a college education,
And a lifestyle change,
Coming back with blue jeans,
And a brand new Range,
So outta the way!
Ya slowin' down the fast lane of progress,
Keep gettin' it messed,
We'll never get to the projects!
My messianic complex,
Is coming back with context,
Now it's no contest,
I'm calm, they' stressed...

Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!

I'll never say that again...

Then again...

Why not?

See, back in the day,
When they thought, we had a way,
They spent all day,
Pointing us, the other way,
And everyone who say,
That it's gotta be this way,
Has gotta be dismayed,
When they see who's gettin' paid,
Who's lurkin' in the shade,
As "The Money Masters" made,
A killing off the Nazi's'n'Commies'n'weapons grade,
Now we steppin' to the plate with weapons home-made,
And we reppin' it for freedom in every single way,
And every single day we gotta say we're okay,
A mother-sister-father-brother tryin' to make it their way...

You's a mother-sister-father-brother tryin' to make it yo' way...

Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!

I can see you over there/over here,
I overhear convos,
Overhear-fear, like-you-facin' Shaq and Alonzo,
My flow is so Gonzo,
Like Hunter S. Thom, so fear is what I loath,
I'd rather know, who bombed those,
Towers, that fell, so easily,
While the government, acted, so sleazily,
What's keepin' it real to me,
Is having the guts to admit:
Since they torture people,
We're in some deep...
Sit back and relax,
The media's got the facts,
But they're ignoring the Left,
Like they're ignoring the Blacks,
That's why I write my little raps,
To get us out of Iraq,
So don't act like a Nazi,
'Cause they're already back...

Nazi's, Nazi's, everywhere,
Don't tell me what to wear,
Or how to wear my hair,
If you don't dare share?
Or dare to stare and care?
Then you a Nazi,
You probably wasn't even aware!

"But if I talk about Nazi's?
My record won't get played?
Well, if this take away from my spins,
Which will probably take away from my ends,
Then I hope this take away from my sins,
And bring the day,
That I'm dreaming 'bout,
Next time I'm in the club,
Everybody screaming out -- "

Winona Ryder keeps eyes open to snooping, erosion of privacy

Stephen Schaefer / Boston Herald | July 5 2006

For her return to the spotlight in ‘‘A Scanner Darkly” (opening Friday), Winona Ryder was extremely low-key during a recent press conference that marked her first meeting with reporters since the 2001 Saks shoplifting scandal that nearly destroyed her career.

Just before Ryder’s arrival alongside co-star Keanu Reeves and director Richard Linklater (‘‘The School of Rock”) came the warning/announcement, ‘‘No personal questions.” Ryder, who had been filming all night for a new movie, wasn’t going to turn this into a confessional.

The 34-year-old actress has never discussed the prescription painkillers that were in her purse when she was busted by surveillance cameras in a Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue dressing room.

But her conviction nearly a year later did give an eerie life-mirrors-art moment when she discussed the trippy animated film ‘‘Scanner.”

‘‘A Scanner Darkly” is adapted from a novel by the late sci-fi guru Philip K. Dick. Other Dick-inspired movies include ‘‘Blade Runner,” ‘‘Total Recall” and ‘‘Minority Report.” In ‘‘Scanner,” he foresaw a world where monitors spy on everyone.

An undercover narcotics agent (Reeves) lives in a house with a bunch of druggies played by Robert Downey, Woody Harrelson and Ryder. As they get high on something called Substance D, they become paranoid that they are being watched. The joke is that they are: Their entire house has secret surveillance cameras.

Ryder had obviously given some thought to the subject of hidden surveillance cameras.

‘‘It’s bad,” she said, citing such books as George Orwell’s classic ‘‘1984,” in which Big Brother watches all, and Lillian Hellman’s memoir of the McCarthy-era blacklist, ‘‘Scoundrel Time.”

‘‘Even back then they were tapping phones and stuff like that. Now I think it’s almost in a way dehumanizing, the perspective of watching people like that,” she said. ‘‘They become less human. It’s hard to articulate, but for me, from my point of view, I know that it’s pretty scary.”

Presumably from her life as a celebrity as well as her arrest and trial experience, Ryder spoke about the ‘‘you can’t believe everything you read” syndrome.

‘‘I learned a long time ago something that I didn’t know, which is that a lot of what you read in the paper that isn’t true, they say, ‘Well, we’re putting this in there because it will help us catch this person.’ And that’s, like, an OK thing to do.”

What was easy for Ryder in the movie was a love scene on a couch with Reeves.

‘‘I am in love,” she said about Reeves, who blushed as he sat next to her. ‘‘Certainly with Keanu, it’s very easy to do that.” And she added, ‘‘I’m totally serious.”

Ryder is also serious about reviving her career - only this time with a different emphasis.

‘‘I sort of made the decision to do something only if I absolutely love it. ’Cause I can’t really base my happiness or anything around this business because it’s different now, the business part of it,” she said.

Ryder has reteamed with ‘‘Heathers” filmmaker Daniel Waters and is filming ‘‘Sex and Death 101.”

‘‘It’s very twisted. I’m Death, actually. I am, literally.”

The 1989 ‘‘Heathers” still ranks as a favorite among the films she’s made, alongside ‘‘The Crucible” and ‘‘The Age of Innocence.”

‘‘And this one, definitely,” she added. ‘‘Yeah, I love this movie.”

Even with its surveillance cameras.

Peace by pimping the passion in your pretty eyes...

Busted for wearing a peace T-shirt; has this country gone completely insane?

Mike Ferner | July 5 2006

Friday afternoon, drinking a cup of coffee while sitting in the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center on Chicago's south side, a Veterans Administration cop walked up to me and said, "Okay, you've had your 15 minutes, it's time to go."

"Huh?" I asked intelligently, not quite sure what he was talking about.

"You can't be in here protesting," Officer Adkins said, pointing to my Veterans For Peace shirt.

"Well, I'm not protesting, I'm having a cup of coffee," I returned, thinking that logic would convince Adkins to go back to his earlier duties of guarding against serious terrorists.

Flipping his badge open, he said, "No, not with that shirt. You're protesting and you have to go."

Beginning to get his drift, I said firmly, "Not before I finish my coffee."

He insisted that I leave, but still not quite believing my ears, I tried one more approach to reason.

"Hey, listen. I'm a veteran. This is a V.A. facility. I'm sitting here not talking to anybody, having a cup of coffee. I'm not protesting and you can't kick me out."

"You'll either go or we'll arrest you," Adkins threatened.

"Well, you'll just have to arrest me," I said, wondering what strange land I was now living in.

You know the rest. Handcuffed, led away to the facility's security office, past people with surprised looks on their faces, read my rights, searched, and written up.

The officer who did the formalities, Eric Ousley, was professional in his duties. When I asked him if he was a vet, it turned out he had been a hospital corpsman in the Navy. We exchanged a couple sea stories. He uncuffed me early. And he allowed as to how he would only charge me with disorderly conduct, letting me go on charges of criminal trespass and weapons possession -- a pocket knife -- which he said would have to be destroyed (something I rather doubt since it was a nifty Swiss Army knife with not only a bottle opener, but a tweezers and a toothpick).

After informing me I could either pay the $275 fine on the citation or appear in court, Ousley escorted me off the premises, warning me if I returned with "that shirt" on, I'd be arrested and booked into jail.

I'm sure I could go back to officers Adkins' and Ousleys' fiefdom with a shirt that said, "Nuke all the hajis," or "Show us your tits," or any number of truly obscene things and no one would care. Just so it's not "that shirt" again.

And just for the record? I'm not paying the fine. I'll see Adkins and Ousley and Dubya's Director of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, if he wants to show up, in United States District Court on the appointed date. And if there's a Chicago area attorney who'd like to take the case, I'd really like to sue them -- from Dubya on down. I have to believe that this whole country has not yet gone insane, just the government. This kind of behavior can't be tolerated. It must be challenged.

I was at the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center because I'm participating in the Voices for Creative Nonviolence's 30-day, 320-mile "Walk for Justice," from Springfield to North Chicago, Illinois, to reclaim funding for the common good and away from war.

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts /

Bush's Army: a Few Good Degenerates

Alex welcomes former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration, and a prolific and popular journalist, Paul Craig Roberts. He is a former editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Scripps Howard News Service. Roberts joins Alex to discuss his most recent article concerning the extraordinary horrors committed in Iraq by US soldiers.

Americans who get their propaganda from Fox "News" or are told what to think by right-wing talk radio hosts are outraged at news reports that U.S. troops planned and carried out the rape and murder of a young Iraqi woman. They are not outraged that the troops committed the deed; they are outraged that the media reported it. These "conservatives," who proudly wear their patriotism on their sleeves, dismiss the reports of the incident as a Big Lie floated by "the anti-American liberal media" in order to demoralize Americans and reduce public support for the war.

Playing to this audience, Col. Jeffrey Snow, a U.S. brigade commander in Baghdad, told AFP News that news coverage could cause the U.S. to lose the war. In other words, what we are doing in Iraq cannot stand the light of day, so reporters must not report or the word will get out.

Many Bush supporters believe that truth is not on our side and must be suppressed.

Yet, they support a war that is too shameful to report.

I have made it clear in my columns that Bush supporters are not true conservatives. They are brownshirts with the same low intelligence and morals as Hitler's enthusiastic supporters. And they are just as resistant to facts.

It was not the "liberal media" but the investigating U.S. military officials who told the Associated Press that the rape and murder of the young woman and her family appeared "totally premeditated," that the soldiers noticed the woman on their patrols and studied her and her family for a week before separating the woman from her family and raping her. After having their way with her, the soldiers murdered her and tried to burn her body with a flammable liquid in order to cover up their foul deed. The soldiers' cover-up attempt also involved the murder of other members of the murdered rape victim's family, including a child.

The criminals were turned in by other U.S. soldiers who knew of the monstrous crime. According to the Associated Press (USA Today, June 30, 2006), one of the soldiers has admitted his role in the rape and murder.

The soldiers cannot be said to be guilty until they are tried and found guilty. However, the U.S. military usually attempts a cover-up of such incidents and only admits to the facts after the press gets hold of them. This time, however, the investigating officials themselves gave the story to the Associated Press.

Many Americans are so unsophisticated that they refuse to believe anything bad about their country. They regard acceptance of unpalatable truths as disloyalty. This failure of American character is why Bush has been able to get away with transgressions that scream out for his impeachment and trial as a war criminal.

The premeditated rape and murders are just the latest in the long line of horrific war crimes from Abu Ghraib to Haditha. Bush supporters are still in denial about each incident. It is amazing that Bush supporters think we have a John Wayne military when, according to news reports, recruitment problems have resulted in the military accepting felons, drug users, thugs, low-IQ high school dropouts, and illegal Mexicans promised green cards for signing up. Apparently, the same people who make America's streets unsafe for Americans make Iraqi streets unsafe for Iraqis. In response to the declining caliber of new recruits, some of our best troops are refusing to reenlist. Several have written to me that "the Army has left them."

Whoever put out that propagandistic slogan, "support the troops," and the ribbon decals was a master propagandist. "Support the troops" means to deny the reality of the war and the behavior of the troops.

To this day, the Bush regime and the neocon Nazis have not told us the reason for their invasion of Iraq, the destruction of its towns and infrastructure, and the slaughter of its citizens. Every reason Bush has given has proved to be a lie.

There is no more reason for U.S. troops to be shooting up Iraq than to be shooting up Canada, Scotland, Holland, Spain, Taiwan, Florida, Virginia, or California. We are killing Iraqis for no other reason than that they resist our invasion and occupation of their country.

It is proof of the collapse of American morals and the fallen character of the American people that the American public and its elected representatives in Congress refuse to rein in the Bush regime and hold it responsible for its monstrous crimes.

America has become a land of evil. The rest of the world hates and despises us. And we are going to pay a terrible price for it. Bush's belief that our superpower status makes us immune to the opinion of others goes beyond hubris into insanity.

WASHINGTON, July 3 — The Central Intelligence Agency has closed a unit that for a decade had the mission of hunting Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, intelligence officials confirmed Monday.

The unit, known as Alec Station, was disbanded late last year and its analysts reassigned within the C.I.A. Counterterrorist Center, the officials said.

The decision is a milestone for the agency, which formed the unit before Osama bin Laden became a household name and bolstered its ranks after the Sept. 11 attacks, when President Bush pledged to bring Mr. bin Laden to justice "dead or alive."

The feds bungled a key opportunity to possibly nix the 9/11 terror plot, it was reported yesterday.

The ambitious FBI detective, Ali Soufan, was so upset when he eventually got the information - after 9/11 - that he vomited.

Spy Agency Sought U.S. Call Records Before 9/11, Lawyers Say

Fascinating to note that the same administration that was shutting down al Qaeda investigations left and right as well as protecting the inviolability of Zacarias Moussaoui's computer info in the run up to 9/11 was already busy violating everybody else's rights with an unprecedented new domestic spying program. They apparently either wanted the latest info on new threats they should ignore or were just prophetically preparing for the authoritarian crackdown to come. Either way this stunning 3-day-old story remains almost as secret as the original program even though the Bloomberg wire feeds every newsroom in the land. - Ed.

June 30 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. National Security Agency asked AT&T Inc. to help it set up a domestic call monitoring site seven months before the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, lawyers claimed June 23 in court papers filed in New York federal court.

The allegation is part of a court filing adding AT&T, the nation's largest telephone company, as a defendant in a breach of privacy case filed earlier this month on behalf of Verizon Communications Inc. and BellSouth Corp. customers. The suit alleges that the three carriers, the NSA and President George W. Bush violated the Telecommunications Act of 1934 and the U.S. Constitution, and seeks money damages.

"The Bush Administration asserted this became necessary after 9/11," plaintiff's lawyer Carl Mayer said in a telephone interview. "This undermines that assertion."

Instructor says U.S. planned the attacks to provoke war

The Wisconsin censorship story continues to pump out the 9/11 truth message. We wonder when the local muzzle-mongers will notice this is blowing up in their faces.

NEW: Kevin Barrett on Visibility 9-11 Podcast, July 2, 2006 - Ed.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison announced Thursday that it would launch a review of an instructor who argues that the U.S. government orchestrated the Sept. 11 attacks for its own benefit.

The instructor, Kevin Barrett, is co-founder of an organization called the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance, which claims the Bush administration planned the attacks to create a war between Muslims and Christians. He argues that members of the faiths must work together to overcome the belief that terrorists were to blame.
