Great job mixing the macro and the micro footage once again Dan. This video shows at least a thousand Torontonians or Canadians getting together who are concerned about these issues on behalf of everyone and that's great to see when we often complain people are apathetic. Without you and the alternative media creating compelling and share-worthy narratives it would be like this never happened, so it's great to see. IMHO, I still think marches like this are great for showing numbers and giving people more confidence to do things like put up posters or drop off flyers so their neighbours -- who probably don't have as many friends as the size of this crowd -- can feel confident in what's happening too and have a better idea of what's going on and what they can do. Otherwise these things get misconstrued or forgotten fast as more info piles up on our Facebook pages and so on. While I know it's cliche and I've been on about this for years, I've also heard stories going back thousands of years of people doing the same when complaining about their governments, or putting up posters and handing out flyers to inform people of their options. Imagine if the same army of people in the video reached out to people around them with 1000 flyers each, or 1 million or more in total, say with the Non-GMO Shopping Guide for all the local foodies to figure out, that would be awesome. Or heck, let's not just imagine it, while the interest is here let's figure out how to get it poppin'...

FYI, while I checked Google News and more, as usual and with nearly every protest but G20 Martial Law, the mass media only reports on it afterwards if they do at all. This isn't all bad since it means many good journalists are trying to get stuff out there, they just need others on the "outside" to help push this more and before...

The Raging Grannies were at the Montreal protest against GMOs and Monsanto. (CBC)
Organizers say two million people marched in protest against seed giant Monsanto in hundreds of rallies across Canada, the U.S. and dozens of other countries on Saturday.
"March Against Monsanto" protesters say they wanted to call attention to the dangers posed by genetically modified food and the food giants that produce it. Founder and organizer Tami Canal said protests were held in 436 cities in 52 countries.
Genetically modified plants are grown from seeds that are engineered to resist insecticides and herbicides, add nutritional benefits or otherwise improve crop yields and increase the global food supply.
Most corn, soybean and cotton crops grown in the United States today have been genetically modified. But some say genetically modified organisms can lead to serious health conditions and harm the environment.
