"To ask questions and to ask them fearlessly," says Citizens' Inquiry director Barrie Zwicker. "This is the heart of this."
Hello TTS Members & Affiliates,
It looks like lots of people are interested in meeting on Friday, September 11th, at 7 pm, at the official City of Toronto Speaker's Corner at the south-west corner of Nathan Philips Square in front of the Winston Churchill statue. Here's some details about the space:
"A speakers corner podium is located at the south west corner of Nathan Phillips Square, just east of the Winston Churchill statue (moved in 2004 from it's original location in front of the statue).
It was founded in 1988 as an attempt to promote free speech in Toronto proposed by metro Councillor Richard Gilbert (Davenport), who was inspired by a similar Speakers' Corner in London England."
Years ago, when people stood at speaker's corners or on apple-crates, their fellow citizens had to be there to see and hear them. Fortunately, thanks to YouTube and other sites, people across the country can see the sincere thoughts of their fellow Canadians explaining why we all have to care about this and related issues for the future of the country.
As citizens of Toronto, we can each take our turn at the podium giving our thoughts on 9/11 and recording it on video. (Only if we want to of course.) After that, we can walk up Queen Street wearing our "9/11 Was An Inside Job!" shirts together in solidarity, grab dinner and drinks somewhere, and enjoy a nice night in the beautiful city we're trying to save.
We're not angry at all, we're celebrating what we've accomplished in making it far more normal to question the official 9/11 story than believe it. Thanks to the historic work of our SIFT (Skeptics for 9/11 Truth) predecessors and many others, this was also true 5 years ago (see below). Soon we should be able to see every Canadian openly laugh at the official 9/11 story.
Please RSVP if you can make it.

A very nice report on the International Citizens Inquiry into 9/11, Phase II, now underway in Toronto. And yes, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Any other DUer attending? Our own Paul Thompson is presenting Friday evening.
Poking holes in the official story of 9/11
Toronto Star, May 26, 2004
Citizens can choose to buy the official line on the events of Sept. 11, 2001 — or they can ask questions about holes in that story as big as the crater at Ground Zero.
This week, at the unlikeliest of locations, the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in west-end Toronto, the International Citizens' Inquiry into 9/11 picks up where it left off in San Francisco in March.
Indeed, a majority of Canadians doubt the line out of Washington. A poll conducted for the non-profit inquiry (http://www.911inquiry.org ) this month shows that 63 per cent of us believe the U.S. government had "prior knowledge of the plans for the events of September 11th, and failed to take appropriate action to stop them."
Among the questioners coming to Toronto are University of Ottawa economics professor Michel Chossudovsky (War and Globalization, The Truth Behind September 11), French political activist and best-selling author Thierry Meyssan (9/11: The Big Lie), former fighter pilot turned security expert Dr. Robert Bowman of Florida, the Center for Cooperative Research's Paul Thompson, who compiled a comprehensive 9/11 timeline (http://www.cooperativeresearch.org ), and Ellen Mariani, a 9/11 widow who is suing the government instead of taking a multi-million-dollar payout.
