G20 Arrests: "Sue the Bastards!" -- Sinn Fein Veteran.

"Irish Dan" | HenryMakow.com | July 22, 2010

There was an overwhelming response to my article, "G20 Arrests: A "Dry Run." The Article has been re-posted on dozens of other sites, Left, Center, Right Wing, Liberal, Christian etc, It has also appeared in many languages and Google had over 2500 links. It certainly hit a nerve!

What was achieved? So far not much! If there is a coherent response, there will be a pull back. If not, it is a green light for yet another turn of the screw! The fight back starts here! They are now watching your reaction! What will you do?

Hi [redacted],

Thanks and it's a great article, I saw it elsewhere earlier and it's mostly what I think too. But, there are lots of people already working on this "G20 = Cops Bad!" stuff while skipping on the Feds obvious ranking-role and the RCMP getting over $500 million of the $1 billion "security" boondoggle, much of it still not spent. So, with people in control of "our" response using less-informed ways to co-opt other efforts, I'm switching up my style and moving on to a bigger audience. These days I'm aiming for the soft and squishy middle of Comfortable Communist Canada and skipping on bugging most activists and conspiracy theorists to improve their (or our) efforts. They're often marginalized and want to do things to feel better, as opposed to for more tactical reasons, which makes thinking too-painful to try since it challenges immediate gratification. I've got proof, but we can beat this by getting ourselves better-conditioned and simply working on a plan that involves calmly and consistently sharing good info that improves people's lives while indicting the system. We can build on that fairly easily once it starts.

I've noticed many marginalized people and groups are only bonded together by anything that works to beat their individual marginalization, even temporarily. That's why so many just "protest" and go home. This is mostly thanks to all the fake foundation funded folks who narrow their focus until their supporters are clueless. Then they can form coalitions to rally in a field and call it a "Day of Action", even though no action was taken, just a brief gathering. That's what I've observed so far. It's not polite to say it, but if it continues we're all screwed. I could go and muck around, and have at times, but even if people know the analysis is correct, they won't risk using it and possibly losing friends who won't. However, when concerned "normal" third parties understand the problems with the groups fighting for their rights and losing them, they may understand the big picture and take action. We have lots of options and lots of interest to leverage whenever we want.

That's the only way this will work in Canada anyway, or "normal" people who feel their futures are threatened and getting active to protect them. Canadians can't rely on foundation-funded activists and marginalized conspiracy theorists who know everything -- but -- who just don't want to do anything. We also can't just take random actions to alleviate some guilt -- until -- the guilt over that hopeless approach causes us to lose interest anyway. Hopefully they come around, but if "truthers" are getting comfortable with us being killed, perhaps we should find some new people who can be uncomfortable with it enough to stop it. While this may sound callous, it's consistent, correct and useful. I'm used to dealing with the fact that most people only think of themselves to safeguard their self-interest, mostly out of "fear" of what might happen if they say the "wrong" thing -- even if it's the right thing to do, but that approach doesn't take care of their interests or anyone else's.

IMHO, we can do better now before we have to try to do something violent to stop something violent from being done to us.

What's great is I'd say anywhere from 60 - 80% of people in downtown Toronto kNWO something is wrong.

Since they enjoy living here, they should be cool with doing something right about it.

Peace,
BK
