We have a bit of a situation here, the same one Gandhi was forced to deal with. While I'm glad it worked, he was non-violent because they had no choice:

We've acted ignorant about guns, parroting the corporate media's attacks on the poor and minorities without understanding the issue or learning the real sources of most violence.

And even though it was written down, we forget that the "right of the people to keep and bear Arms" is the "2nd" Amendment of the U.S. Constitution because it is "necessary to the security of a free State".

Our law enforcement officers live in our communities, their children go to school here, and they eat and drink at the bars and restaurants here. We need to reach them before they are turned into miserable attack dogs; or failing that, are replaced by out-of-towner domestic or foreign troops who care not whether it's Biloxi or Baghdad they are destroying.

I recommend buying and burning and handing out copies of "TerrorStorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism" and "America: Freedom to Fascism" to every law enforcment officer you can find either in groups or as individuals; and in formal and informal settings. Work through any silly laws against "people" communicating with their local "police" to show them how they are being abused into states of violent paranoia, and to keep up the relationship, get them to help you get rid of things like "The Patriot Act" like over 400 cities and states have already done:

The same "War on Terror" brainwashing we all receive and some of us resist is more concentrated and intense in military, intelligence and law-enforcement circles. With the American people allowing obviously innocent (since it's not even "officially" helping us "win" the fake "War on Terror") Muslims to suffer in torture-camps; the "War on Terror" GOPredicted to only get worse and last for 100 years; and the World losing the 800-year old right to "habeas corpus"... where do you think this is going?

Why are our cops and G.I.'s being trained to violate basic human morality? Why are all of our corporations and governments attacking us? Why don't they "read us our rights" (pre-2001 thinking) when we get "arrested" on cop shows like "CSI" and "24" anymore?

The useless and divisive nonsense the elite's corporate media trains us to repeat means this is not entirely our fault: we can only say what we know. But if we want to beat the paradigm provided that's brought us to the brink of World War III, we need to trust the people decoding it.

It's a big mess, and even the National Rifle Association (NRA) has been infiltrated and corrupted: they're against Congressman Ron Paul (R - Texas), a man of integrity (seriously) with a perfect gun-rights voting record since the 1970's. And the NRA is backing his Democratic opponent:
