I'm afraid you don't understand how everything works despite having all the evidence you need.
Dear [---] et al,
I'm afraid you don't understand how everything works despite having all the evidence you need.
1) You said your media is scaring the crap out of an otherwise good and decent people. Absolutely, and you'll get no argument from me on the latter either - though I would argue that's universal given any decent living options - as has been proven. But the former still lingers: WHY is your media doing this to you? And where is it leading us?
2) You said the U.S. helps countries in need whenever there is a disaster, and yet they wouldn't even help the people of New Orleans after Katrina, nor the millions in ghetto's, nor the millions (1 in 6) without healthcare - and growing, nor the hundreds of thousands of homeless people - HALF of whom are Vietnam War Veterans: WHY does your government convince you it loves you while treating all of you like crap? And how do they get you to proudly repeat it instead of asking for change?
3) You said the U.S. is against dictatorships, but LOOK at the World the U.S. has built over the last 50 years with 5 billion people living under poverty and oppression, and ask if they've "done enough". You can argue "realpolitik" all you'd like - a favorite Conservative argument that excuses any actions "we" do while condemning any actions "they" do - but the torture in Guantanamo and genocide in Sudan continues as we fret over lipstick and contact solution and whatever they dream up next that will kill us. The U.S. is responsible for installing most dictators in order to gain access to their countries resources, or "neo-colonialism", and supports them unequivocally with military and economic aid - like Saddam in Iraq - until they are no longer useful. You know what the U.S. does to countries it doesn't like? It embargoes them. Like Cuba, North Korea, and formerly Iraq. That's it. For the rest of them, like Syria, Saudi Arabia, China and a hundreds of others, it freely trades with them on the specific condition that they oppress their people. You can SEE how little "human rights" pressure they put on these countries - or things would be different and they'd brag about it: WHY do you think the exact opposite is true?
4) The biggest attack on U.S. soil came under REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP, and this was after they cut the counter-terrorism budget, told the FBI to stop investigating Osama - the brother of his Bin Laden business partners who've given the Bush Family and Friends $1.6 billion over the years - with Presidential Executive Order W199I, and ignored the infamous "Bin Laden determined to attack in the United States" August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing. Since then the same people have left your borders wide open while inspecting less than 5% of the cargo that enters your ports - a sure sign they're not interested in deterring "terrorism" at all. Meanwhile, they are increasingly asking for Americans to give up all of the beautiful rights and freedoms outlined in those beautiful documents you cited - WHEN THE PEOPLE WHO WROTE THEM WOULD BE APPALLED! Go read any of their quotes and writings - I have - and they know THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY WROTE THOSE DOCUMENTS TO STOP. Your government doesn't deny any of this, they just ignore it as does the mainstream media, and tell their "followers" not to LOOK at it or TRUST their fellow Americans who love the same things you do. It's a brilliant strategy that continues today, and you have to ask yourself: WHY were those documents written in the first place? And why are they being destroyed by The Patriot Act I, and II and III, and IV, and V, and...?
5) Finally, why don't you trust me after I've researched this for years? And why don't you trust anyone else who questions what's going on or who questions your government - AS ALL TRUE PATRIOTS HAVE? When did Americans decide to develop and live with completely different versions of "reality"? How can husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, friends and family completely differ on what "reality" is? How can Americans trust their "government" over their "people"? Sowing the seeds of distrust is a deliberate strategy to divide and conquor the American people - and it's working - fast. Soon you'll feel compelled to report those on this NewsGroup who don't agree with you and the "government" to "Homeland Security" - just like in Communist dictatorships - and it's already happened to thousands of Americans. Soon you'll be told to report "suspicious" people who talk about the "Bill of Rights" and "Constitution" - and it's already happened to thousands of Americans. Soon you'll be asked to give up ALL your "liberty" for "security" - something Ben Franklin explicitly warned against. If you don't care that they're killing millions overseas for no reason instead of isolating the terrorists and working with local governments and people to identify, capture, try and imprison or kill them - and providing a fraction of the money spent on weapons to help build their economies and quickly destroy any seeds of "Islamo-Fascism"; that they're going from house to house in Afghanistan and Iraq grabbing any male over the age of 10 and throwing them in the growing number of "secret" prisons and others to be tortured with no evidence and no chance of a trial; and that they desperately want to use nuclear weapons on Iran - the only country (read: PEOPLE) in the Arab World to hold spontaneous candle-light vigils after September 11, 2001 - or any of the other atrocities committed by your government against innocent people overseas for the last 50 years... fine. I understand. However, by letting them do this they've become all-powerful and corrupt, and have absolutely no respect for your acceptance of them terrorizing and propagandizing you.
So, now it's simple: you can't beat your dog for 10 years without eventually succumbing to the urge to beat your wife and kids. The soldiers being trained to torture and dehumanize people overseas will eventually come home and patrol American cities - just like in New Orleans - and just like other areas that were never even hit by a disaster with the increasing use of the military in domestic law enforcement in direct violation of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. What you've let your government do to these kids is criminal, and what they'll be asked to do to you will be worse: WHY don't you see that even accepting your desire to fight terrorism, this is the wrong way to do it?
Finally on Alex Jones and others telling the truth... let's put it this way:
Canadians make themselves feel smarter by calling Americans "dumb", when in fact we have secret police - who some radio friends spoke with spoke with after organizers pointed them out (they were clipped and uninformed in their answers unlike every other "activist" there) the other day at an anti-police brutality rally - and secret detentions, we have massive prison slave-labor camps run by major corporations, and may even be setting up our own Guantanamo beside yours. Americans make themselves feel smarter by pointing out their country is "winning" - and rightly so - but never asking HOW or WHY. Both the "Left" and "Right" are victimized the same way - though more liberals are finally coming around as we get closer to martial law - and we're suffering the effects of that. The media's job is to maintain the status quo and advance the agenda of the elite - but not to make you "smarter" or "help" you help yourselves improve your society. Things are getting worse because of your collective and willful arrogant ignorance, and as you can see below, G-d help us if this keeps up...
Love and Patience,
BK

September 11 -- what year? 30 percent of Americans don't know
Wed Aug 9, 10:53 AM ET
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Some 30 percent of Americans cannot say in what year the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon in Washington took place, according to a poll published in the Washington Post newspaper.
While the country is preparing to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives and shocked the world, 95 percent of Americans questioned in the poll were able to remember the month and the day of the attacks, according to Wednesday's edition of the newspaper.
But when asked what year, 30 percent could not give a correct answer.
Of that group, six percent gave an earlier year, eight percent gave a later year, and 16 percent admitted they had no idea whatsoever.
This memory black hole is essentially the problem of the older crowd: 48 percent of those who did not know were between the ages of 55 and 64, and 47 percent were older than 65, according to the poll.
The Post telephone survey was carried out July 21-24 among 1,002 randomly selected adults. The margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points.

Congress is pushing a law that would abandon the Internet's First Amendment -- a principle called Network Neutrality that prevents companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast from deciding which Web sites work best for you -- based on what site pays them the most.
