Windsor Cop Accused Of Smuggling Was On 'Lookout' List
A Windsor cop flashed his police ID when he rolled up to the border with 60 super-sized bottles of booze under a blanket in the back of his SUV, his smuggling trial heard Wednesday.
Denied “professional courtesy,” Const. Colin James Little was referred for secondary inspection where he was subsequently arrested and placed in a holding cell, Ontario court heard.
Little, 33, was arrested at the Windsor-Detroit tunnel April 24, 2009, and charged with failing to report 58 bottles of liquor, making false or deceptive statements to a border officer and willfully evading or attempting to evade payment of duties. ...
... “I was surprised the subject of a lookout was a Windsor police officer,” Wyles said.
She lied to Little as she tucked a yellow E-67 slip under his windshield wiper, telling him he was being pulled over for a “random” inspection.
On the slip, she noted that Little had declared “two bottles.”
Defence lawyer Roland Schwalm suggested that with the noise in the tunnel plaza that night, Wyles misheard Little when he had declared “a few bottles.”
The judge smiled at the suggestion. “Any case law on this? Does a few go up to 60?” Downie asked, chuckling.

fyi, years ago i dropped a buddy from work off in buffalo to take a flight to florida for a job. i bought two bottles of 40-proof booze at the duty-free. the border guards asked me how long i'd been in the u.s. i said about an hour. they said i had to be there for at least 24 hours (or something) to buy anything duty-free. so, i had to pay the duty on the bottles.
they were nice and let me off with paying for just one. but, i was shocked: on a $25 dollar bottle of booze, $20 of that is TAXES, pure and simple. it's insane. so, i ended up paying $20 and saving $5 on one bottle, but i ended up paying $40 and paying an extra $20 for the other bottle. btw, after taxing us this much in many ways: why are our govts. broke now?

on a related note, legalization (taxation) and de-criminalization (looking the other way) of marijuana have been discussed for decades. imho, it wouldn't be a problem if they didn't stop anybody from growing it, even if they taxed it, because marijuana grows so easily everywhere, so it would probably be cheap regardless. it's also good for a lot more than smoking too.
hemp paper was used to write the u.s. constitution, make the first u.s. flag, and make the sails the first ships sailed over with. it can also be used for fuel, bio-degradable plastic, food, clothing and a lot more. the only reason it's illegal is because it grows so easily, so it's hard to have a "monopoly" on it like you could with "oil" and other resources. it's a miracle-plant.

so, the bad guys (e.g. rockefellers etc.) insisted on making it illegal, forcing the world to only use "oil" for "fuel" even though you can just check youtube for a thousand alternatives, from hemp to water to cooking oil, etc. electric cars made in QUEBEC aren't even allowed to be sold in CANADA (Yahoo News/AP, 2008), even thought they're sold in other countries.
i'm reminded of this because me and a buddy dropped by the "bring back marc emery!" (he's been extradited to the u.s. for LEGALLY selling seeds and PAYING TAXES IN CANADA while doing it) protest outside the u.s. consulate on university avenue yesterday. then we went to chill-out at the vapour trail pot-cafe at yonge and wellesley. good times. but, there's more.

finally, we're seeing lots of "fight cancer!" posters everywhere, especially in this corporate-crock loving city. don't get it twisted, i love it here and the people are great, that's why i pay attention to the crazy stuff. the more "cancer" posters we see, the more we can see them normalizing us getting cancer. don't fall for the banks and drug companies working together.
it's now expected that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will develop cancer in their lifetimes, or at least that's what they're telling doctors. none of these people are trying to find out why or stop it. they just want us to worship and fund their evil cures that have resulted in... see the first sentence. anyway, eating hemp can help, plus other stuff, just check the vids below.
