I've met a lot of your supporters online, but I've noticed that a good number of them seem to buy into this conspiracy theory regarding the Council of Foreign Relations, and some plan to make a North American union by merging the United States with Canada and Mexico.
These supporters of yours seem to think that you also believe in this theory. So my question to you is: Do you really believe in all this, or are people just putting words in your mouth?
COOPER: Congressman Paul, 90 seconds.
PAUL: Well, it all depends on what you mean by "all of this." the CFR exists, the Trilateral Commission exists. And it's a, quote, "conspiracy of ideas." This is an ideological battle. Some people believe in globalism. Others of us believe in national sovereignty.
And there is a move on toward a North American union, just like early on there was a move on for a European Union, and it eventually ended up.
PAUL: And there is a move on toward a North American Union, just like early on there was a move on for a European Union, and eventually ended up. So we had NAFTA and moving toward a NAFTA highway. These are real things. It's not somebody made these up. It's not a conspiracy. They don't talk about it, and they might not admit it, but there's been money spent on it. There was legislation passed in the Texas legislature unanimously to put a halt on it. They're planning on millions of acres taken by eminent domain for an international highway from Mexico to Canada, which is going to make the immigration problem that much worse.
So it's not so much a secretive conspiracy, it's a contest between ideologies, whether we believe in our institutions here, our national sovereignty, our Constitution, or are we going to further move into the direction of international government, more U.N.
PAUL: You know, this country goes to war under U.N. resolutions. I don't like big government in Washington, so I don't like this trend toward international government. We have a WTO that wants to control our drug industry, our nutritional products. So, I'm against all that.
But it's not so much as a sinister conspiracy. It's just knowledge is out there. If we look for it, you'll realize that our national sovereignty is under threat.

CAP Supports Nationwide Call to Action February 16, 2008
Canadian Action Party (CAP) wholeheartedly supports a grassroots Nationwide Call to Action on February 16, 2008. In towns and cities all over this great nation, people will be coming together to send a clear message to our elected representatives in Ottawa - we the people demand a Referendum on the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP).
The SPP is an agreement signed first by Paul Martin, George Bush and Vincente Fox in March 2005, and then endorsed by Stephen Harper upon his election in 2006. CAP has known the true intentions and outcomes of the SPP and has been very vocal against it since it was announced, including during the last election (it was the only party speaking out).
CAP had called for a non-confidence vote in Parliament upon its return and has now been calling for a Referendum of the People. It has a Petition, which is circulating on the internet, posted on its website since the beginning of November. To date there are approximately 5,400 signatures of Canadians who agree that this is far too important for the future of Canada to be left to an unrepresentative Parliament and must be put to a referendum.
CAP candidates, members and leader Connie Fogal were present in Ottawa and Montebello this past summer when the 3 leaders, Harper, Bush and Calderón met with corporate representatives of the North American Competitiveness Council who are driving the SPP process at the highly secured Château Montebello in Québec.
More than 2,000 protestors of all stripes made their way to Montebello on August 20 to demand a stop to the SPP. CAP witnessed police state tactics used upon peaceful protestors and police posing as agents provocateurs. Truly it was a forceful suppresion of legitimate dissent and a shameful display in a country that is supposed to be a democracy.
Connie Fogal says "That the North American continent is being transformed from three sovereign nations - Canada, USA, Mexico into one regional corporate power base, through agreements like FTA, NAFTA, TILMA and now the SPP into a North American Union.
However, unlike the creation of the European Union, there is no public, political or academic discourse on the merits, or pros and cons of a North American Union building up to a vote within each nation as to the wish of the people to join such a union.
It is being imposed on us by stealth by our own elected representatives and government, and is already well on its way to fruition." The NDP is calling for a debate and vote in Parliament which will result in approval. The Manitoba NDP Provincial Government openly supports the NASCO or NAFTA Super Highway as was announced in the Throne Speech on November 20, 2007.
The mainstream media is complicit in this advancement and the resulting loss of sovereignty. Therefore Canadians must seek information through the alternative media in order to be informed.
If you feel as these concerned citizens do, that sovereign democractic nations matter, please get involved and get active. Help organize a protest in your town or city.

The world is run by huge think tanks, like the Tavistock Institute in London. The establishment pays them to come up with most of our problems, reactions and solutions, or the Hegelian dialectic, to move the masses to fulfill their goals.
These think tank ideas are filtered through various groups and agencies, like the yearly Bilderberg Group, whose heads of banking, finance, politics, business, media and more bring their interests to the table and agree on the next year's agenda for control.
There are many issues at work, but the group of rich families in charge, or the New World Order, have enough money and power to lie, steal, buy, bribe or kill to get their way and years of practice in breeding psychopaths who are bloodthirsty enough to keep the family fortune.
There are certainly disagreements, like Daniel Estulin revealing Europe's leaders were concerned about how their people would react to the War in Iraq, but like parents having disagreements in front of children they want us left ignorant, so we need to go from thesis to hypothesis based on our evidence and intelligence.

How much is good press worth?
To the Bush administration, about $1.6 billion.
That's how much seven federal departments spent from 2003 through the second quarter of 2005 on 343 contracts with public relations firms, advertising agencies, media organizations and individuals, according to a new Government Accountability Office report.
The 154-page report provides the most comprehensive look to date at the scope of federal spending in an area that generated substantial controversy last year. Congressional Democrats asked the GAO to look into federal public relations contracts last spring at the height of the furor over government-sponsored prepackaged news and journalism-for-sale.
Armstrong Williams, the conservative commentator, had been unmasked as a paid administration promoter who received $186,000 from the Education Department to speak favorably about President Bush's No Child Left Behind law in broadcast appearances.
Around the same time, a spat erupted between the GAO and the White House over whether the government's practice of feeding TV stations prepackaged, ready-to-air news stories that touted administration policies (but did not disclose the government as the source) amounted to "covert propaganda." The GAO said that it did. The administration disagreed, saying spreading information about federal programs is part of the agencies' mission, and that the burden of disclosure falls on the TV stations.
Congress sided with the GAO. Lawmakers inserted a provision into an annual spending bill requiring federal agencies to include "a clear notification" within the text or audio of a prepackaged news story that it was prepared or paid for by the government.
The new report reveals that federal public relations spending goes far beyond "video news releases." The contracts covered the waterfront, from a $6.3 million agreement to help the Department of Homeland Security educate Americans about how to respond to terrorist attacks; to a $647,350 contract to assist the Transportation Security Administration in producing video news releases and media tours on the subject of airport security procedures; to a $6,600 contract to train managers at the Bureau of Reclamation in dealing with the media.
"Careful oversight of this spending is essential given the track record of the Bush administration, which has used taxpayer dollars to fund covert propaganda within the United States," Rep. Henry A. Waxman (Calif.), ranking Democrat of the House Government Reform Committee, said in a statement yesterday.

Heavy cell phone use tied to poorer sperm quality

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Spending hours on a cell phone each day may affect the quality of a man's sperm, preliminary research suggests.
In a study of 361 men seen at their infertility clinic, researchers at the Cleveland Clinic found an association between the patients' cell phone use and their sperm quality.
On average, the more hours the men spent on their cell phones each day, the lower their sperm count and the greater their percentage of abnormal sperm.
The findings, published in the journal Fertility and Sterility, add to questions about the potential health effects of cell phones and other wireless devices. Some studies, for example, have linked long-term cell phone use to a higher risk of brain tumors, though many other studies have found no such connection.
The concern is that, over time, the electromagnetic energy emitted from mobile phones could theoretically harm body tissue -- by damaging DNA, for example.
However, the new findings do not prove that cell phones somehow damage sperm, according to the researchers.
"Our results show a strong association of cell phone use with decreased semen quality. However, they do not prove a cause-and- effect relationship," lead researcher Dr. Ashok Agarwal told Reuters Health.
He and his colleagues based their findings on semen samples from 361 men who came to their infertility clinic over one year. All of the men were questioned about their cell phone habits.
In general, the researchers found, sperm count and sperm quality tended to decline as daily cell phone hours increased. Men who said they used their phones for more than four hours each day had the lowest average sperm count and the fewest normal, viable sperm.
"We infer from our results that heavy cell phone use ... is associated with a lower semen quality," Agarwal said. But whether cell phones somehow directly affect men's fertility is not clear.
Agarwal said he and his colleagues have two studies underway aiming to shed light on the issue. In one, they are exposing semen samples to electromagnetic radiation from cell phones to see what, if any, effects occur.
The second is a follow-up to the current study that is assessing a larger group of men. Agarwal said this study is more rigorously designed and will account for certain other factors like lifestyle habits and occupational exposures that might affect sperm quality.

They're planning on millions of acres taken by eminent domain for an international highway from Mexico to Canada, which is going to make the immigration problem that much worse.
So it's not so much a secretive conspiracy, it's a contest between ideologies, whether we believe in our institutions here, our national sovereignty, our Constitution, or are we going to further move into the direction of international government, more U.N.

CAP Supports Nationwide Call to Action February 16, 2008
Canadian Action Party (CAP) wholeheartedly supports a grassroots Nationwide Call to Action on February 16, 2008. In towns and cities all over this great nation, people will be coming together to send a clear message to our elected representatives in Ottawa - we the people demand a Referendum on the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP).
The SPP is an agreement signed first by Paul Martin, George Bush and Vincente Fox in March 2005, and then endorsed by Stephen Harper upon his election in 2006. CAP has known the true intentions and outcomes of the SPP and has been very vocal against it since it was announced, including during the last election (it was the only party speaking out).
CAP had called for a non-confidence vote in Parliament upon its return and has now been calling for a Referendum of the People. It has a Petition, which is circulating on the internet, posted on its website since the beginning of November. To date there are approximately 5,400 signatures of Canadians who agree that this is far too important for the future of Canada to be left to an unrepresentative Parliament and must be put to a referendum.
CAP candidates, members and leader Connie Fogal were present in Ottawa and Montebello this past summer when the 3 leaders, Harper, Bush and Calderón met with corporate representatives of the North American Competitiveness Council who are driving the SPP process at the highly secured Château Montebello in Québec.
More than 2,000 protestors of all stripes made their way to Montebello on August 20 to demand a stop to the SPP. CAP witnessed police state tactics used upon peaceful protestors and police posing as agents provocateurs. Truly it was a forceful suppresion of legitimate dissent and a shameful display in a country that is supposed to be a democracy.
Connie Fogal says "That the North American continent is being transformed from three sovereign nations - Canada, USA, Mexico into one regional corporate power base, through agreements like FTA, NAFTA, TILMA and now the SPP into a North American Union.
However, unlike the creation of the European Union, there is no public, political or academic discourse on the merits, or pros and cons of a North American Union building up to a vote within each nation as to the wish of the people to join such a union.
It is being imposed on us by stealth by our own elected representatives and government, and is already well on its way to fruition." The NDP is calling for a debate and vote in Parliament which will result in approval. The Manitoba NDP Provincial Government openly supports the NASCO or NAFTA Super Highway as was announced in the Throne Speech on November 20, 2007.
The mainstream media is complicit in this advancement and the resulting loss of sovereignty. Therefore Canadians must seek information through the alternative media in order to be informed.
If you feel as these concerned citizens do, that sovereign democractic nations matter, please get involved and get active. Help organize a protest in your town or city.

The world is run by huge think tanks, like the Tavistock Institute in London. The establishment pays them to come up with most of our problems, reactions and solutions, or the Hegelian dialectic, to move the masses to fulfill their goals.
These think tank ideas are filtered through various groups and agencies, like the yearly Bilderberg Group, whose heads of banking, finance, politics, business, media and more bring their interests to the table and agree on the next year's agenda for control.
There are many issues at work, but the group of rich families in charge, or the New World Order, have enough money and power to lie, steal, buy, bribe or kill to get their way and years of practice in breeding psychopaths who are bloodthirsty enough to keep the family fortune.
There are certainly disagreements, like Daniel Estulin revealing Europe's leaders were concerned about how their people would react to the War in Iraq, but like parents having disagreements in front of children they want us left ignorant, so we need to go from thesis to hypothesis based on our evidence and intelligence.

How much is good press worth?
To the Bush administration, about $1.6 billion.
That's how much seven federal departments spent from 2003 through the second quarter of 2005 on 343 contracts with public relations firms, advertising agencies, media organizations and individuals, according to a new Government Accountability Office report.
The 154-page report provides the most comprehensive look to date at the scope of federal spending in an area that generated substantial controversy last year. Congressional Democrats asked the GAO to look into federal public relations contracts last spring at the height of the furor over government-sponsored prepackaged news and journalism-for-sale.
Armstrong Williams, the conservative commentator, had been unmasked as a paid administration promoter who received $186,000 from the Education Department to speak favorably about President Bush's No Child Left Behind law in broadcast appearances.
Around the same time, a spat erupted between the GAO and the White House over whether the government's practice of feeding TV stations prepackaged, ready-to-air news stories that touted administration policies (but did not disclose the government as the source) amounted to "covert propaganda." The GAO said that it did. The administration disagreed, saying spreading information about federal programs is part of the agencies' mission, and that the burden of disclosure falls on the TV stations.
Congress sided with the GAO. Lawmakers inserted a provision into an annual spending bill requiring federal agencies to include "a clear notification" within the text or audio of a prepackaged news story that it was prepared or paid for by the government.
The new report reveals that federal public relations spending goes far beyond "video news releases." The contracts covered the waterfront, from a $6.3 million agreement to help the Department of Homeland Security educate Americans about how to respond to terrorist attacks; to a $647,350 contract to assist the Transportation Security Administration in producing video news releases and media tours on the subject of airport security procedures; to a $6,600 contract to train managers at the Bureau of Reclamation in dealing with the media.
"Careful oversight of this spending is essential given the track record of the Bush administration, which has used taxpayer dollars to fund covert propaganda within the United States," Rep. Henry A. Waxman (Calif.), ranking Democrat of the House Government Reform Committee, said in a statement yesterday.

Heavy cell phone use tied to poorer sperm quality

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Spending hours on a cell phone each day may affect the quality of a man's sperm, preliminary research suggests.
In a study of 361 men seen at their infertility clinic, researchers at the Cleveland Clinic found an association between the patients' cell phone use and their sperm quality.
On average, the more hours the men spent on their cell phones each day, the lower their sperm count and the greater their percentage of abnormal sperm.
The findings, published in the journal Fertility and Sterility, add to questions about the potential health effects of cell phones and other wireless devices. Some studies, for example, have linked long-term cell phone use to a higher risk of brain tumors, though many other studies have found no such connection.
The concern is that, over time, the electromagnetic energy emitted from mobile phones could theoretically harm body tissue -- by damaging DNA, for example.
However, the new findings do not prove that cell phones somehow damage sperm, according to the researchers.
"Our results show a strong association of cell phone use with decreased semen quality. However, they do not prove a cause-and- effect relationship," lead researcher Dr. Ashok Agarwal told Reuters Health.
He and his colleagues based their findings on semen samples from 361 men who came to their infertility clinic over one year. All of the men were questioned about their cell phone habits.
In general, the researchers found, sperm count and sperm quality tended to decline as daily cell phone hours increased. Men who said they used their phones for more than four hours each day had the lowest average sperm count and the fewest normal, viable sperm.
"We infer from our results that heavy cell phone use ... is associated with a lower semen quality," Agarwal said. But whether cell phones somehow directly affect men's fertility is not clear.
Agarwal said he and his colleagues have two studies underway aiming to shed light on the issue. In one, they are exposing semen samples to electromagnetic radiation from cell phones to see what, if any, effects occur.
The second is a follow-up to the current study that is assessing a larger group of men. Agarwal said this study is more rigorously designed and will account for certain other factors like lifestyle habits and occupational exposures that might affect sperm quality.
