Debatable -- Is Bush's time away from the White House too long?
By Robert Gutsche Jr
By some records, this is the longest presidential holiday in at least 36 years. Should President Bush take such a long time away, even though he'll still be in touch with his aides, the press - and world leaders? The August getaway, more than five weeks long, is Bush's 49th trip to his ranch since taking office. And it's the 319th day that Bush has spent, entirely or partially, in Crawford - nearly 20 percent of his presidency to date, according to Mark Knoller, a CBS Radio reporter known for keeping better records of the president's travel than the White House itself.
