Flyers and templates to help friends of CKLN Radio change the CRTC's decision to revoke the station's licence before the last scheduled broadcast date of February 12th, 2011. Click on "HTTP" in the top-left corner of this page to access the public domain MS PowerPoint files. People can print or pay to get them printed and ask to leave them at local stores for just 10 days, put them in mailboxes, leave them on cars if the weather lets up, etc.

These are four flyers per 8.5" x 11" page and can be printed (use "Scale to Fit Page" to keep the edges) in black and white for as little as 3-cents per page, then cut at Kinko's for $1 per cut. For just $20 you can print around 2000 flyers. If there's interest I can design more, or anyone can with the templates provided. For more sizes of poster and flyers templates (so that anybody can change the text and pictures to design their own), please visit:

UPDATE: There are now also two six per page flyers for download in MS PowerPoint and .PDF files, you can print 3000 for around $20 to share. Most Canadians won't mind taking a small 2" x 3" piece of paper if they're asked nicely, so we can keep them handy and share them when possible. With the recent CRTC decisions to allow consolidation of our media and metering of our internet, most Canadians might want to help save their community radio.

.

Good luck! :)

Sample Flyer Text (6 per page v2):

SUPPORT CKLN RADIO!

After 25 years on air in Toronto, CKLN 88.1 FM at Ryerson University had their licence revoked by the CRTC, despite raising over $50,000 from the people of Toronto in a recent fundraising drive, proving the community likes their community radio. Please help respectfully disagree with their decision by contacting your Federal MP’s and asking them to intervene, contacting the CRTC and asking them to reconsider, contacting the media with your thoughts and sharing the online petition. With our consolidating media and internet, it’s good for Canadians keep independent voices for alternative news, music and more. Please visit www.CKLN.fm for more details. Thank you! :)

People should be complaining to the CRTC in massive numbers if we don't want CKLN and many other community stations shut down.

Here is the public contact listing for the CRTC http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/about/whoweare.htm

Spread this information far and wide.
