i feel ya [redacted], but if he wasn't different i wouldn't recommend him, especially based on how deep into the rabbit-hole i poke my head.

check out the stuff he's been saying for 30 years about de-centralized power and honest money, or the two things we need to change the "system" we're always on about that forces us into being right about the problems without being effective at the solutions.

i don't put my faith in one 72 year old white guy from texas, i put my faith in the ideas that inspire people to act, which is the only way we're going to end the wars and police states we see forming around us.

regardless of what happens to him - and there's a lot that could - he's injecting real issues into a fake left vs. right fight we're supposed to have, or picking the better of two bad options and begging them to come close to doing what we want while they never do since they don't have to. that's what we're forced into doing by the old paradigm while people overseas die and people here die inside... for now.

check this 3 minute speech on the floor of congress if you'd like, it's one of many on youtube and google video you can see for yourself. he was fighting against the war in iraq in 1998 when neo-cons were pushing clinton to start it (google for the congressional record) and again in 2002 just before it started in march 2003, so he's been consistent and correct unlike most democrats who favour the slow-death option of sanctions.

even if you don't agree with all of his ideas you'll see he's honest and is in favour of localized politics, or "state's rights" instead of big government dictates, which means massachussettes and montana can do their own thing separately while deciding what it is. the same formula for freedom, peace and prosperity can work worldwide - while president ron paul would let them do what they want with no u.s. interference - which explains his international fanbase as well.

you'll see... :-)

cheers,
bk
