IF you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you...
.
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling, "If"

Thanks dood, this is just what I needed this morning to counter-balance Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" on repeat in my headphones, I ended my show with it and it's a great song to tap into the emotion you feel when you take our survival seriously, especially to write about it and avoid being too academic or arrogant, which I'm doing now for my campaign website. We live in a crazy world when we don't respond to crazy stuff that's getting crazier, so I'm wracking my brain to figure out how we can beat this weird "we just don't feel like it" mind control. It's incredible stuff and we'll probably die defending it if that's what we choose to do, or if we make this non-response normal. Keep in mind the fact that the "truth" movement is regressing in Canada, so we need to reverse that trend.
People talk about violent revolution, but that doesn't make any sense. The same elites who engineered us to be wussies probably didn't install a "Rambo" feature inside us that we can turn on later just because we watched too many movies. If we don't have the will to simply share posters and flyers like people attacked by their governments have done for hundreds of years, or burn dvd's like we have for the last ten, or bug our elected officials in safe, legal and normal ways, then I don't think we'll be very good at fighting with cops and soldiers or eking out a living in the wilderness if we'll even be allowed to escape. I think we have to move on these issues while (or if) we can without relying on crazy back-up plans, assuming the mercury in my glucose-fructose drink isn't warping my judgment much.
Right now, I think the key is fixing relationships so people can talk to and work with each other easier. If we can do that people will have to respect us "conspiracy theorists" and what we found, but only if we take it seriously enough for them to want to. We also can't just talk to people when we don't try to get better at it and don't allow each other to as often. Many frustrated people waste years just trying to talk, but what you find is if you leave people with some info, later on many will want to talk to you. The others shouldn't have to. People can avoid being frustrated in this game if they keep it moving, or inform as many people as possible without worrying about what you want to say. Then you'll want to talk about something else in smarter and more relaxed ways and people will appreciate that.
Thanks for Kip'ing it real, sounds like da O.G. white dood wrote the original "Lose Yourself" copied by Eminem! :-P
Incidentally, taking this stuff seriously, even in my own weird ways, helps me take everything else seriously too, including the music I listen to, food I eat, girls I smile at, girls who smile at me, guys who respect the hustle, and everything else. That's not a bad thing. I just feel life more and enjoy it. It can be hard to kill time without getting paranoid, selfish and bored, so I recommend testing your flex.
Cheers,
BK
