G8/G20 security bill to approach $1-billion

FYI, after taxing most of us 60% of our income for decades, our governments at all levels are now telling us they're broke. Yet, somehow they manage to scrape together $1 billion for "security" against "us" here in Toronto for he G8/G20 Summits. Because on it's face this is disgusting and insane, at least one would hope people think so, on the face a flyer it might be too, perhaps for Saturdays TTS meet-up.

We can piggyback the great local mass media coverage of this and "back them up" too, or when they reveal things locally we can help flesh them out, while as we do stuff they can then cover us. We can tie-in the "police provocateur" events in Montebello, Quebec in 2007 for the SPP.Gov / North American Union summit, shout-out the film "The Nation's Deathbed" and make sense of this for our fellow Canadians.

Since most of this makes (utter non)sense to us... it shouldn't be a problem! :-P

Spending dwarfs previous summits, but Ottawa argues no country has ever hosted both summits at once

However, the police force denied allegations its undercover officers were there on Monday to provoke the crowd and instigate violence.

"At no time did the police of the Sûreté du Québec act as instigators or commit criminal acts," the police force said in French in a news release. "It is not in the police force's policies, nor in its strategies, to act in that manner.

"At all times, they responded within their mandate to keep order and security."
